Philea Grantmakers East Forum 2021 – From the “what” to the “how” – The renewal process of the Grantmakers East Forum
The Grantmakers East Forum will host an online meeting on 16 December to discuss “From the “what” to the “how” – The renewal process of the Grantmakers East Forum”.
The pandemic has upset the day to day routines of nearly all of us, and made hosting in-person meetings and conferences virtually impossible, but the Grantmakers East Forum (GEF) has used this period as an opportunity for reflection and renewal and the time has now come to take stock of the outcomes of this work.
The meeting will see the presentation of the report led by Barry Knight, and driven by the Steering Committee, on the renewal of the Grantmakers East Forum. The presentation will be followed by moderated breakout sessions which will allow us to shift our thinking from the “what” to the “how” of this renewal process.
This meeting is a crucial stepping-stone as we move towards an important year for both the GEF and Philea, as 2022 will mark the 25th anniversary of the GEF’s vibrant community. During this special year we would like to continue this important work by creating a space for a community of practitioners, and work together on reframing the purpose and methods of the forum.
