EFC Gender Equality Thematic Network Webinar – Gender Equality in a time of COVID-19. A conversation about the impact of the pandemic on gender balance
The EFC’s Gender Equality Thematic Network is hosting a webinar “Gender Equality in a time of COVID-19. A conversation about the impact of the pandemic on gender balance” on 9 July, 15.00-16.30 CEST.
The coronavirus pandemic continues to change, in an unprecedented way, how people interact, move, work and live their lives. The impact of the current situation is visible in many aspects of our societies and it is shading the light on already existing inequalities, while also contributing to reinforce them. Even though the virus itself does not seem to make any distinction between gender, class, religion or ethnicity, the subsequent economic crisis is affecting different groups in different ways.
This webinar will be a conversation about the impact of the pandemic on gender balance. We will explore how the pandemic is having different effects on man and women and discuss possible solutions and actions that philanthropic actors are implementing to face the situation.
