Democracy Network – Democracy Brown Bag Lunch – The far-right might capture the EU Parliament. What can philanthropy do about it?

The Democracy Network will host its next Democracy Brown Bag Lunch on exploring “The far-right might capture the EU Parliament. What can philanthropy do about it?” online on 12 December.

A far-right capture of the European Parliament could stall many of our agendas for 5 years, including climate action. The recent Dutch elections are just one of many signs that progressive and centre parties are struggling to be a balancing force due to the fact they are losing so much ground. How philanthropy can respond to these worrying evolutions, together. What concrete actions can we still take ahead of the EU elections? Can we change the narrative? How do we engage the centre, and how do we reach the local level? What is our strategy beyond this potentially painful electoral result?

The Democracy Brown Bag Lunches are a series of online conversations that offer funders an informal way to connect, learn from each other’s practices and share strategies.
