African Philanthropy Meeting

The EFC is co-organising a meeting between African philanthropic organisations, and EFC members active in Africa, so as to better understand the landscape of African philanthropy, on 21 May, Paris.

This one day meeting just prior to the EFC Annual Conference will bring together these different players with the aim of better understanding the landscape of African philanthropy: what do the diverse forms look like; where do they sit; and what are the relationships that exist between them? Additionally, where are there potential tensions that might pull the field in different directions? Can we work more collaboratively to counter some of these? Finally, how are African infrastructure, or support, organisations nurturing this space?
